Rida Yulianti. Why did I choose this journal?

Assalamu'alaikum.. Hello fellas !! This is my first assignment blog in 4th semester, and this blog will contain a review of journals that will become the foundation when I do research later. Well, I chose a journal about grammar. Certainly among you many who think that grammar is difficult, grammar is complicated, etc. The reason I'm choosing a journal about grammar doesn't mean I'm proficient in grammar, but grammar always makes me interested in continuing to learn English in depth. The trick I do to master grammar is to diligently read and understand and practice. So guys, for those of you who still think that grammar is difficult, let's be diligent in reading because we are studying together.

This time I refer to one of the journal compiled by Mukminatus Zuhriyah under the title PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING TO IMPROVE STUDENTS’ GRAMMAR COMPETENCE. Just looking at the title, I was immediately interested because this learning centered on problems. well, from the whole, I caught the core of this journal, PBL turned out to be one of the student-centered learning methods and the teacher only became a facilitator. Is it the same with SCL huh? Etherington (2011: 54) which states that problem-based learning is where students are given the task of solving problems related to their material. PBL is also an innovative method where students are formed in small groups to collaborate in analyzing and solving problems.

Then how about the introduction in this journal? Let's look at the paragraph I paraphrase.

INTRODUCTION

Grammar is one of the subject subjects that must be studied by students of English language education throughout the university because grammar is a component of language that is very important to master. Grammar has an important role in 4 English skills, when reading, grammar is needed to understand context in text with well. When writing, grammar is needed to get understadable writing. It is also happens when listening and speaking. Additional, Priya (2015: 72) that communication argues become coherent and logical by using grammar.Then, baleghizadeh and Mozaheb (2011: 364) state that the learners' age, their proficiency level, and educational background levels of grammar to be different.

That is the fact that learning grammar is not easy. Many 5th semester students of English language education at the Hasyim Asy’ari University (UNHASY) held on November 7, 2016, students still have weak grammar competencies as evidenced by the value they got. Their average score was 65. The highest value was 70. The presentation of students who get 70 was 22%. The cause of weak grammar is that it can be from students or teachers. Matas and Natolo (2010: 371) state that teaching grammar needs student-centered methods. One of the student-centered methods is PBL because it is a learning method where students get assignments and they analyze and complete the material in a collaborative manner in groups in the class and it is easier for students to understand more quickly because they practice directly independently. That is the reason why PBL was implemented in this research.

That is the introduction review of this journal, essentially the PBL method can be applied in our learning so that we can analyze the material well and understand grammar faster so we can improve our English language skills well.

The Differences Education System Between Finlandia and Indonesia

Hallo fellas! Welcome to my fourth blog!! Because the theme is about education so in this occasion I would like you to compare the education system between Indonesia and Finlandia. Why finlandia? because Finlandia is the number 1 best education country in the world and the purpose I make this comparison is to evaluate the education system in Indonesia.

1. In finlandia, the time to study is just 4 hours and even then interspersed with the games, because finlandia believe that if students spend too much their time at school it will make them stress out and get bored because they don't have enough time for entertainment. Based on research if the students like that it will make the material can not get by children.
2. To become a teacher of primary school in finlandia is need master degree because finlandia believe that to teach student must need competent teacher. While in Indonesia we haven't graduate yet but we can teach at school.
3. Students in Finlandia are free to choice the subject they want, as well as they like. Because Finlandia hopes students can develop their skills in subject they like. For example,if students just interested to math and art they just follow the class with those subject they don't need follow the others subject. While in Indonesia we have to dominate all of subject that school has given and it makes almost all of student feel lazy because they have to learn about subjects they don't like.
4. There is no homework and final exam in Finlandia.
5. In Finlandia the cost to school is paid by government,they don't need pay like spp or something like that.
6. There is no rangking system in Finlandia because Finlandia believe that all of students are same,they deserve to get first winner.
7. This is the most interesting, in Finlandia the average starting salary for teacher is 29.000 dollars in 2008 and that is equivalent to about 400 million rupiah. Whereas in Indonesa the average starting for teacher is not meet UMP/UMR. However the most important thing is not from salary but from how useful we are to others.
8. In calculating international standard said that students in Finlandia are interested to science, like to read and like math whereas Indonesia is one of the worst reading countries in the world.
9. In Finlandia the cost of education to become a teacher is borned by government. Therefore Finlandia has many high quality teachers because teacher welfare is equivalent to that of doctors and pilots.

The question is, can Indonesia implement education system like Finlandia? The answer is able on you, have we felt it appropriate to implement the system? Because the most important thing is from human resources. So we as the next generation of teacher we must be qualified teacher so that we can improve the education system in Indonesia and we have to eliminate the bad image of teacher. Show them that we can be happy teachers~

The nature of men and women

   

     Allah has created His creatures in pairs. Like the sky pair with the earth, hot with cold, night with day, land with the sea, men with women and others. Each of these creations carries its own task. They cannot leave Allah's provisions. All activities must be in accordance with the nature that God has bestowed upon him. They don't have the advantage of others. Everything is the same in the sight of God. They only work together to form the order of the universe regularly and neatly.

     Therefore, whoever comes out of nature and the rules that have been set by Allah, then what will happen is a huge chaos and disaster. Because each was created by Allah according to his nature as the creation of human beings they instinctively created religion namely monotheism. So whoever comes out of this fitrah (monotheistic religion), then it is an irregularity and there will be chaos caused by it. Likewise to the image of God's creatures in general.

     From the article "Men are from mars and women are from venus" we can find out that between men and women were created to have their own distinctions and privileges, don't let us get out of our nature. For example, from a little girl, she has been taught education sex, which means that here is a woman who has been taught and accustomed to doing something or using anything that is in accordance with her nature as a woman. different from men who have to look more manly stronger, for example little boys prefer soccer. don't get between women and men upside down.

     The nature of men is to have greater physical strength than women, because he is required to be the head of the family who is obliged to fulfill his family's livelihood, provide shelter, clothing, and become a protector for a woman (his wife) and children. While women are created as humans who are physically weak compared to men. But God gave him the greater nature of tenderness and affection that men don't have. This is because the woman is prepared to become a figure of educator and mentor to the growth and development of the attitudes, behavior, mental and moral of her children.

     Between men and women, each has the nature of deficiencies and advantages that complement each other. So that by carrying out their respective roles, does not reduce what is their obligation and does not demand more what is their right, then there will be harmony and balance in family and community life. God has made women as partners for men, and vice versa. All of that is to bring about a feeling of love and compassion between them.

GET OUT OF THE COMFORT ZONE FOR A GREAT FUTURE

           

      When life is full of struggles , when life is full of sacrifice, when we have to get out of our comfort zone. Dare to move to the city of people in order to reach nobel ideals. We are far from parents, brother or sister and also far from closest person. All that I was doing when I moved from Bandung to Karawang. However I did it for my parents and my dreams. Indeed there are many obstacles that must be passed where I have to do everything myself, without a mother who usually prepares my equipment, without a father who usually takes me wherever and without a sister who usually comforted me when I was exhausted.

     I really wan to tell them how cruel the world is, how sad the journey to success is especially for woman like me, I know that I'm only a girl from a village who moved to the city, so it is only natural that I have not been able to adapt it to language or culture that I find rude and so far from my culture in my village full of ethics despite lack of education. I always remember my mother's massage "Take care of relationships because the rain stone in village is better than golden rain in the city". It means I have to take care of my association because the worst of life in the village is better than the sparkle of life in a city that is not neccesarily make me happy. Let my journey now bacome a beautiful story in my future.

        I want to eliminate the perception of people who always say " what do you get a college? After all, you will also become a housewife, you should learn to be a good housewife not by college!" In contrast, even though I'm in college I'm also trying to be a future wife and good mother for my children someday, won't a smart mother produce smart kids too? One of them I have prepared good names for my children late, even though this is small thing but this is also very important because the naming of childen is also what prayer is expected of the children, if I have children I will choose a name such as Baqir Abdul Mannan Nawawi for man which means a vast servant of god and gifted, because I want my child to be an Intelligent child and if I have a daughter I will give her the name Afanin Huriyah Huwaida Azzahra that means woman like angels of heaven who are gentle and intelligent.

        In addition, I take english department so if I was asked the western name of my children in the future  I will choose the name Mohammed Joseph, Richard and Ibrahimovic for men and the Angelica, Elzafi and Arzu for women and if I asked why I don't change my name as I like, I will answer that I don't want to change my name becaus it's given from my parents and it will be hopes and also has great meanings as my mother say that Rida is Ridho, it means that I will always patient to face anything that happens to me. Even though it is a simple thing but giving a name is very important because it will be hopes in the future. There are actually many more ways we can learn about it, because of the limited time I have, I think it is enough to write until here. I have massage for anyone who reads my writing, keep dreaming and chasing what you expect all this time, let people thing you are hallucinating because your goals aren't big enough if you don't get rude criticism from people around you, you just need to learn because you never too old to learn.
